A y'all, welcome to another edition of Tangentually Speaking.

I'm feeling pretty good.

I went whitewater rafting yesterday on the De Chutes River, which was a lot of fun.

We got a group on and did a half day trip out there, which was just lovely.

So we're trying to take advantage of being up in the northwest and see some of the world

up here because it's a really beautiful area and the summer is short.

So we're trying to hit it hard.

On the other hand, I'm also trying to get this book started and thank you to all you people

who write to me saying, write that fucking book, dude.

I'm not buying your t-shirt till you write a book.

Fair enough.

Yeah.

I was someone, a friend of mine, wrote to me this morning said, how's the writing going?

I said, it's like starting a book is like those guys who pull a truck with a rope attached

to their penis, you know what I'm talking about.

That's what it feels like.

It's the, you know, once you get it rolling, I guess it doesn't hurt that bad, but man,

the first tugs are excruciating.

So that's where I am now.

I've got a rope tied to my figurative penis with a truck on the other end and I'm trying

to pull it.
