| 0:00.0 | All right, one feature you need to be using this spring is compass mode on Onex Hunt on your Onyx Hunt app. |
| 0:06.0 | Basically what compass mode is, is when you click on it, it orients your map to whatever direction you're facing and it lays a line straight down the middle of that map with marked yardages. |
| 0:16.0 | So what that allows you to do is when you hear a bird gobbling off in the distance, you can turn on compass mode, face the bird, and then it's going to lay a line straight towards where that bird is at, and then you can make an estimate of where you think he is. The way that I like to use it, it's been very helpful for me in pinpointing exactly where a gobbler is probably at. So, for instance, if I had one goblin way back here behind me on these ridges, I could turn, orient, and say, okay, at 450 yards, there's a nice ridge point poking out above like a hub or something. That's probably where that turkey is at. So I can drop a pin on his location, and then I've got a pretty good idea of exactly where he is so that I can read my map and I can look, |
| 0:54.6 | hey, do I need to go get up above him? Do I need to come straight at him? Do I need to just stay |
| 0:58.0 | right here? Whatever the case may be. So it's a very, very useful tool. I encourage you to try it this spring. It's been really nice for us. | 2:03.6 | Carbon S.S. Climbing sticks have been awesome to use over this past season, guys. |
| 2:09.6 | They are very lightweight at one pound per stick, 18 inches long. |
| 2:13.4 | They are super, super easy to put on the tree. |
| 2:16.9 | But even best yet, they have no metal in them, so they're extremely quiet. That's the one thing I love about these sticks. All the sticks I've used in the past that were mostly made out of aluminum. You had to tape them up. You had to do something to them in order to keep them quiet. Because if you did it, whether brush hit it or they hit together or hit anything else, there was a loud metal ting. Well, with these carbon sticks, there's none of that. It's a very subtle thud sound when they hit together or brush up against anything else. And I always tell people, it sounds almost like a black rack rattling antlers if you hit them together. I really like these sticks. Also, with them being carbon, they are very warm to the touch, even on the coldest |
| 2:51.8 | days, and they pack really well together. So if you're looking for some lightweight sticks |
| 2:56.2 | to stay mobile this fall, check out the carbon SS climbing sticks from latitude outdoors.com. |
| 3:02.4 | We've all got that one shirt that we wear way too often because it just works for everything |
| 3:06.2 | and it's comfortable. Well, that kind of shirt is what Poncho outdoors has nailed. I've got a flannel and a denim from poncho. And the first thing I noticed about both of them when I got them out of the package was how soft they were right out of the box, especially the denim. It is butter soft. It's very nice. And when I say it works for everything, what I mean by that is |
| 3:24.7 | it's got a little stretch to it, but it's still tough. And I mean, I'm wearing the thing if I'm at the house working, or if I'm out in the fields running my dogs like I was doing earlier today. And the cool thing about poncho is that they really care about making their shirts your new go-to. They offer free shipping, free returns, and even exchanges any time. |
