No jokes about that, because today's topic is pretty grim, so let's put out some facts

about the bombings, and then I'll give a moral analysis.

On August 6th and 9th, 1945, the United States detonated two atomic bombs over the cities

of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, respectively.

The bombings killed between 129,000 and 226,000 people, most of whom were civilians.

It's the only use of nuclear weapons in an armed conflict.

Japan surrendered to the Allies on August 15th, six days after the bombing of Nagasaki.
