then you know that I am going through a gourmand phase, but specifically with cozy,

comforting vanilla sense. They are challenging everything that I thought I knew about my taste. And of course, the saga continues because

Twisted Lily just gifted me a new one, one that they know that I've been coveting for a while,

which is Comptoir Sud Pacific Vanillaiseach Vanan. And they only recently started carrying this brand,

which makes me so happy because I do think Comptuars Sud Pacific is one of the best value brands.

They're 30 milliliters, retail for $42. Their 100 milliliters are 85. So it's a better price

point than I would say many designer fragrances out there right now. Anyway, I do think some of

their vanilla scents are still a little too vanilla-y for me. Never say never. I might change my mind in

like a week. But when I first smelled Vinnie Banana, I fell in love with it. Because it's vanilla,

yes, but it is a lactonic banana vanilla. It's got that creamy milkiness of banana pudding. And then also that sort of fun, shrieky banana smell of banana waffy-taffy. It's kitschy, but also self-aware. And I resonate with that deeply. And I will say, yes, the opening is very banana and the dry down goes much more vanilla, which is where I would conventionally write it off. But I don't know. I am loving the journey on this one, and it doesn't bother me. And you know what the dry down does smell like? It's a very specific smell. But if you've ever been to Dylan's candy bar, the original one, which I think was on 60th and 3rd, it's now closed down, unfortunately. Maybe they're all scented and they all smell like this, so I'm not sure.

But that Dylan's candy bar had a smell, and it smelled like the dry down of Venebanin.
