UK. Okay. just decided to start recording myself speaking for your listening

enjoyment. I mean I've just started recording this because just before

pressing the record button I was sitting here kind of deliberating, which basically means trying

to come to a decision.

Sort of deliberating, oh, and deliberating about lots of things which aren't really important.

Like for example, which microphone to use.

So I think I've got all my different microphones out.

Sometimes I get stuck in this behavior before I start recording an episode. I get stuck in certain kinds

of annoying routines, like choosing the right microphone, which is ridiculous because I've been through

this process so many times and I've always decided at the end of these sorts of process of trying to work out the best microphone to use.

I've always ended up choosing one microphone which is definitely the best microphone to use,

and that's not even the microphone I'm using right now.

I know this is a fascinating way to begin an episode of the podcast.

Geeky, maybe annoying, geeky, microphone chat.

So I've got, I have a plethora of microphones.

A plethora, there's a nice word.

It just means more than I need need basically. I have a plethora of

microphones and so for those of you who are interested I am I've decided to use

after lots of deliberation, the Shaw SM-57 microphone is a handheld

microphone. And the microphone that is definitely the best option is the short SM7B microphone. Oh this is
