and honored to have as my guest tonight, Solidado Brian journalist, host of Matter Fact,

a correspondent for Real Sports with Brian Gumball and executive producer of the extraordinary

new documentary, The Rebellious Life of Rosa Parks, which premiered on Peacock on October

19th and is absolutely essential viewing. Solidado, thank you so much for joining me tonight.

Fantastic. Thank you. And thanks for having me. It's a good doc. We're really proud of it.

You know, I think Rosa Parks is one of those people you think you know, and, and then

you kind of realize, like, oh, actually, I don't know Rosa Parks at all and everything

I learned in the seventh grade was, was pretty not accurate. So it was a good project to

work on.

Yeah, I mean, there are so many reasons people should be seeing this documentary. It's

beautifully done. It's, it's so relevant, which is tragic, actually, but something we

need to discuss. It's information all Americans need to have. But one of the things that struck

me about the ways in which Rosa Parks story has been literally reduced to one very small

moment in her life as, you know, as, as much of an impact as it had.

Incredible. Right. Like one small moment and like, and just to use just a little tire

from a long day, you know, it was kind of this accidental civil rights hero, which of course

is a complete misrepresentation of her life and her work.

Yeah, and it's, it's a really good example of how Americans, well, white Americans have

crafted the teaching of the civil rights movement. We have the situation in which a few
