Hi, this is Alonzo Bowden. I want to welcome you back to my podcast. Who's paying attention? This is episode 77, I believe,

and I am recording from Knoxville, Tennessee, which I'm here for the first time doing a club

called Side Splitters. Very cool club did my first show tonight. And it's going to be a good weekend.

And, you know, whenever I come to the South, as you know, I get nervous anywhere that

Mosey is a speed.

But the people are cool.

The shows are cool.

And I think it's kind of fitting that I'm doing this in the South because my topic for

this podcast is guns.

I just, I got to talk about guns and the South obviously is more steeped in the gun culture than any part of the country and I'm not

saying that negatively. I'm saying that is just a statement of fact before we get started to

those who want to tune out right now and just say that I'm anti-gun you're wrong I'm

not anti-gun I am pro common sense I have friends who are shooters there was a

time it's a long time ago it's 20 some odd years ago.

I worked at World Airways up in Oakland, and I happened to work with a bunch of guys who were

from Oklahoma, and they liked to go in shooting at lunch. There was a gun range near the airport,

and I went with them a few times

and I bought a gun. I actually bought a couple of guns and tried it. It just wasn't my thing. So I

sold the guns and but I get it. You know what I mean? I get it from the point of the skill

involved in shooting targets. I get it from the point of the skill involved in shooting targets. I get it from the point of

admiring the mechanical beauty, for lack of another word, the machine process, etc., the precision of building guns.
