So we are on the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita.

And this is a chapter on meditation, Dihana.

He has set the context for meditation that a certain amount of moral, ethical preparation and discipline is necessary

to prepare the mind for successful meditation. Most of our efforts in meditation, we find it very

difficult. Everybody complains about how they are unable to meditate. And it's almost always,

in fact, it's always the lack of these preparations, which

Krishna has mentioned in the first few verses.

Now he concludes the topic of preparation in the eighth verse, which is a beautiful verse

and profound verse, where what is the ultimate result of not only the

preparations but also the meditation the enlightenment what kind of an enlightened what is the

effect of enlightenment what will we be like after enlightenment all these things are summed up beautifully in the eighth verse,

eighth and ninth verse also.

After which we'll start the detailed instructions on meditation.

Gyanavigyanatrip Tathma,
