Today on the program, my guest is Zach Smith, author of the story collection entitled everything is totally fine for me for now

yeah the most i've gotten out of writing has been my relationships to people my experience

creating with them like collaborating on things or goofing off on writing projects with people

or putting together this and this book or my book of poetry and thinking of it as something fun to do.

And then trying to ensure that the experience of making it and everything else that comes after it is also fun because otherwise what's the point

okay that is Zach Smith he is the author of a new story collection entitled everything is totally fine

available now from mu mu house which is the indie press founded by author Tao Lin.

Everything is totally fine as the first book that Mumu House has put out in about a decade.

It is a collection of very short fiction with an acidic sense of humor.

Dry, deadpan, apocalyptic, often surreal and absurd and depressive.

It is a collection that is responding to a world and to cultural value systems that seem to be either in collapse or completely out of whack.

Zach Smith's other books include 2 million shirts, of which he is the co-author and a poetry collection entitled 50 barn poems.

That came out in 2019.
