my new friend, Aaron Small. Hello, hello. Aaron, you're like a, what do you do for, you're like

a Hollywood writer or something. I'm a copywriter, advertising copywriter, branding guy, dad, climber,

cyclist. I wear a lot of hats. I love it. And you're being, you're being fast track to be on the pod because there's a lot of people of the social club who've asked to be on. But I, you were so enthusiastic. You're like arguing with me via text. And I was like, this is the energy I want. Let's go. You can do an app. That's right. That's right.

I had a big drive, and I decided to throw the pot on. And I like what you had to say.

I like the arguments. I like the litigation, the back and forth. You know, I've got an interest

in this kind of stuff. I grew up going to pretty Orthodox, you know, elementary school. Orthodox. Yeah, Jewish Orthodox, but very traditional and kind of secular at home. So a little bit confusing. Oh, okay. That is confusing. Yeah. But that's just what we did. Didn't have a lot of choices back then in the 80s. So you didn't. Did you keep super strict kosher? Did you eat shellfish? Like what? How'd that play out?

I think I tasted pork when I was 22. Wow. And it was amazing. Did you lose your virginity before you tasted pork?

Yes. If I can remember correctly, I think so.

Oh, man. If Roddy were here, he would say something like pussy before pork.

Interesting. Okay. So, but home was more lax.

Home was lax. School was strict. Home was chill. Yeah, exactly. School was chill. But we did start

learning the Talmud back when I was eight years old. And, uh, So I didn't, okay, so the Talmud is not related to the Torah. Right. Yeah. It's like a separate. It's the offshut is like kind of like the Bible. Mm-hmm. The five first five books of the Bible. But the Talmud is a, I've heard of it. Yeah, I'll give you the quick break down. You likened it. Yeah, you likened it to what we're talking about.

Yeah, the Talmud is basically like a whole series of laws and verses and, uh,

you're just like basically old dead rabbis, you know, uh, arguing and exploring topics.

But the thing that I think reminded me, uh, of AITA in the pod is that, you know, you can have one

verse that will basically say, you know, what, like, what time should I be praying on Saturday

night after the Sabbath ends? And that will be generate, you know, 30 pages of reading and

people arguing about, you know, if I push a, you know, your goat off of my house,

who has to pay for it, that kind of thing. So it's fun and it's complicated. And, uh, yeah,

here we are. That is that. I feel like tweets are that for this pot. Like me and Sarah will be

quoting these tweets for years, you know. One of my favorites is, uh, me sewing. Oh, hell yeah. This is sick. Fuck yeah. Me reaping. Oh, no. Fuck. What the hell. Oh, God. Um, but yeah, that's, that's really interesting. Um, the Talmud. There we go. The Talmud. Well, we had an interesting, so you were around the social club. You're like brand new. And I don't even know I was promoting this Yosemite trip. And then you stole my route. So I was kind of talking shit about you because I'm like, this guy came here. I was like, yeah, I'm doing this route. And then you're like, oh, I don't know if we can meet up, but I'm doing your route now.
