I am your host, along with the great Tim McLeod, and it is the 14th, this Valentine's Day, everyone.

And it is a dark and dreary weekend here in North Carolina.

Timmy, I know it's still cold up in Canada.

Yeah, we're still dealing with the minus 40 degree nights and minus 25 degree highs.

But hey, the sun's out.

So, hey, at least it's not cloudy and overcast, Rich.

It's been raining, Timmy, literally for three days. So it's been something good. It's been absolutely gross. Well, I was going to say the East Coast has been getting, you know, in areas where the temperature has dropped. They've been getting a pile of snow. So I guess you're getting the same thing. It's just not cold enough to turn white, right?

No, it's not, but I think it's an ice storm this weekend, which is even worse.

But it's a good day to record a podcast about outfielders and fantasy baseball and

baseball and whatever the heck we want to talk about.

Yeah, and you know, just as a public service announcement, I was checking out the weather

in the southern states, Texas especially, that area, and it's supposed to be really cold,

and they're calling for snow and ice and everything else.

Just a word to the wise for all my friends that are experiencing unseasonably cold weathers, especially if it's

below zero. Somewhere in your house, keep the water running. Keep your cold water running because

you don't have the insulation in your houses that we have up north. And with that limited

insulation on your piping, any extreme cold, and your pipes aren't down very far in the ground either, any extreme cold, and you could start seeing things start to freeze.

And that can get really, really ugly.

So if you keep a small stream of cold water running somewhere in your house, you don't have to worry about anything freezing.
