Say their T score is negative 1.7 in the osteopenia range and they tripped on their kitchen floor over the

This is a clinical diagnosis of osteoporosis. Even though the bone density tests did not show

osteoporosis, they absolutely have it.

And it's based on the mechanism of injury. So if you break your hip or your spine from a low trauma fall and your bone density is osteopenia or normal,

this means there's probably something going on with your bone quality, which is that micro-architecture that we cannot see with X-ray technology.
