The attorney is representing Russell LaFete, who is the disgraced banker from Hampton,

have filed a motion to dismiss the superseding indictments issued by the Grand Jury, which

apparently had some errors in it.

The government made some edits to the information that they presented to the Grand Jury.

And one of the things that they mixed up were the terms conservator and PR, and Russell's

attorneys have issued a response.

And in their response, they say, if the government is going to hold Mr. LaFete accountable

for knowing the intricacies of the South Carolina Prebic Code, the court should hold the

government to the same standards.

And LaFete, meanwhile, has a trial date set for November 8th and federal court in Charleston.

It just reminds you a little bit, he's accused of helping out Alec Murdoch in a decade-long

prime spree, and the federal charges appeared in mid-September.
