The first book, The Golden Compass, was made into a feature film starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman.

Pullman's latest books are Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm,

A New English version,

and The Good Man Jesus and The Scoundrel Christ,

a reimagining of the gospel story in which Jesus has an identical twin brother.
