Welcome back to old time radio, mystery, suspense, and horror.

And today is super exciting because we get into a brand new program here on the podcast,

a program that we have not yet aired, and that is the Green Hornet.

This is a series that I've been wanting to get into for a while and so excited to be kicking it off here and now.

Real quick, just a brief introduction to the Green Hornet program.

The Green Hornet was an American Radio Adventure series that debuted in 1936 and introduced the mass vigilante, The Green Hornet.

The show originated on January 31st of 1936 on WXYZ, this same local Detroit station that originated its companion shows,

The Long Ranger and Challenge of the Yukon.

The normal runtime for the Green Hornet was about 17 to 30 minutes.

It was created by Franz Stryker and George W. Trendle.

Over 1,000 episodes were originally produced.

The Green Hornet himself was first played by Al Hodge from 1936 to

1943 and again in 1945, then Donovan Faust in

1943 and then Bob Hall from 1945 to 1947.

The Green Hornet's faithful assistant, Cato, was initially played by Raymond Hayashi, then Roland Parker,
