Catholic Answers Apologist, Trent Horn. Recently on Reason and Theology, which is hosted by Michael

Lofton, I had a dialogue with Tony Annette on climate change. So Tony is Catholic,

he's the author of the book, Cathenomics, used to work for the International Monetary Fund.

His politics are a bit more liberal in mind, I would say. He'd probably say it's a European

social democratic view that he endorses. And we've gone back and forth on social media about

climate change and how Catholics should respond to it. I would say that Tony's view is that Catholics

must support a very rigid response to climate change, something very urgent, like seeking to go

carbon neutral by the year 2050, for example. And the view that I defend in the dialogue is that

Catholics can hold a wide variety of views on the issue of climate change based on the teaching

authority of the church and based on problematic elements in the data that is presented about the

threat of climate change and the harms that come from things like moving away from fossil fuels. So

we discussed all of that in the dialogue. I think it was really good. I'm excited to share it with
