about MacPower user-y things.

We're trying a new show format out today.

We do these occasional deep dives. We just did one last week. I know we do these occasional deep dives we just did one last week on

note plan thanks for all the positive feedback on that by the way but sometimes we

have apps that we think we want to feature but they don't get a full episode because you know they just they don't get a full episode often they're just like really good utilities

This week we have a collection of those we're going to share with you hopefully by the end of the show you found one or two that you can put into the rotation.

But before we get started, it's Performa month at 512 pixels.

What a ridiculous sentence.

Yeah, so a lot of listeners will know that name.

Performer was a line of max.

Apple sold, mostly to consumers and families and some to schools in the 90s.

And when a lot of people think about what was wrong with Apple in the 90s, they point their

finger at the performing line because in a span of about five years

depending on how you count they were like 44 to 46 different models of performer

which is bananas and and yeah this is basically what you would call like in the automotive world you would call it badge engineering like okay this performer

this performer 520 is really an LC 520 and it's also this other thing and just sold with different names and different venues.

It was a big mess and it's a part of Apple that I haven't either history. I haven't really spent a lot of time in because generally when you get close to this as a topic people freak out because it was so terrible.
