A question that's been popping up since the launch of the Lay-Round Prospect Guide

surrounds how I value tight ends.

If I have models that running back and wide receiver and those models help me, what do

I do with the tight end position?

Well, to be fair, I do have a tight end model that I've been working on over the last

few weeks.

Things finally clicked and I've been moving forward with one.

For anyone who's subscribed to the Lay-Round Fantasy Football newsletter, you've got a

couple of emails your inbox just last week about that model.

But honestly, I don't put as much thought into that position as I do the other two positions,

and there are some obvious reasons for that.

Tight ends are valued differently in fantasy football compared to running backs and wide

receivers, and it's because the position doesn't matter as much in fantasy.

You're only starting one of them, the demand is lower.

Each 12 team league is only starting 12 tight ends.

When you're starting way more than 12 running backs and way more than 12 wide receivers.

That leads to fewer tight ends giving you a significant edge in fantasy.

Imagine a world where your 12 team league was starting 30 tight ends in a given week instead

...
