I spent this past weekend in Akron, OH, as one of the start and finish line announcers at the Akron Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay, and got to do a live show at the race expo — with a twist. This time, I was the one being interviewed! 0:09.7	different today because in this episode I'm on the other side of the mic. This is Ask
0:15.4	Alley live at the Akron Marathon. I went out to the Akron Marathon events in
0:21.1	2022, took a break last year because I was starting chemotherapy
0:26.0	the same time that they were having their race weekend.
0:29.0	And so it was great to get to be back.
0:31.0	Anne Batong and her entire team out in Akron they take such good care of me
0:34.9	everyone is so nice and wonderful and gosh Ohio people you are lovely and so
0:42.0	kind and so it really is a treat getting to go out there and call it work.
0:46.8	I was nice and busy the weekend in Akron. I was at the Expo. We did some meet and
0:51.3	greets. I got to attend the elite athlete breakfast and talk to some of those runners and get to know them
0:56.6	and of course they all went on and ran great the next day
0:59.0	and I worked the kids races.
1:02.6	You know I love kids races.
1:04.2	My favorite thing, the kids races on Friday evening
1:06.3	were so much fun.
1:07.4	And then Saturday, Race Day was at the start and finish line
1:10.8	all day, cheering for all six waves of runners who are out running
1:14.3	the Akron Marathon the Half Marathon and the team relay so really really awesome
1:18.4	events if you are looking for a great well organized race weekend,
1:23.1	the last weekend in September.
