We celebrated 75 years of casting guests away.

To that tiny deserted island with just a few treasured recordings, three books and a luxury to keep them company.

Well, today we're going to mark the end of such a special milestone by hand picking a little festive selection box of a

new album.

From some of the 3,000 guests who have been cast away over the past three quarters of a century.

Among the voices you will hear Sir David Attenborough, Dame Zaha Hadid, Jacqueline DePray, Louis Armstrong and Dame Judy Dench.

One of those was meeting 97-year-old Eric Winkelbrown.

Born in 1919, he was one of the very few recent castaways who was old enough to remember our program's very first broadcast.

As a pilot, he held the world record for the most flight deck landings, 2407.

And he held that record for 65 years.

An absolute delight to meet and interview, he had a real twinkle in his eye.
