podcast for you this week with my good friend Eric Godse. He's been on the

podcast before and anytime I have a conversation with Eric whether it's on his

podcast my podcast or just in our own personal time I get so much out of it I

think you will too the the conversations that arise with him they, it's like there's this calm yet very fierce deepening and

understanding about life and how to be the active warrior growing and saying yes to challenges in life and

reclaiming your shadows. So I find my conversations with him so rich so rich and I think you're going to love this one and before we get into the conversation I want to acknowledge right now this time as we speak there's there's chaos going on a lot of panic

turmoil stress fear about the coronavirus now for I I'll be the first to tell you.

I'm not a doctor.

I can't tell you anything about the virus.

But what I can say is panic doesn't help anybody. Logical discernment does.

So I think the time when we want to be in our

rational faculties making our decisions is when times are the scariest.

But here's the problem, when times are the scariest and we need to be the most

intellectual and thoughtful and mindful about our decisions, those scary times make

it so tempting to let our decision-making arise out of panic and hysteria and emotional volatility.

Now anybody could tell you that's not the wisest part of our intellect.

It's an awesome part of our psychology, but it's not where we want to make decisions from, especially when it's when our decisions count the most.

And I love to use this analogy, you know, back in the days when movies and cinemas were on this type of film that was

way more flammable than paper I don't know what it was five or ten times more flammable than paper. I don't know what it was, five or ten times more flammable than paper. There were unfortunately a lot of fires in movie theaters. It was way more common than it is now.
