On the pilot TV podcast this week we're exploring race relations in an alternate Britain in BBC One's Nause and

Cises sitting patiently while they wheel out yet another adaptation of the

H.G. Wells Classic with Fox's War of the Worlds, taking a trip to Greece

with Rob Bryden and Steve Coogan, and finally, watching what may be,

the most I-TV hour of television ever conceived in the opening of Liar Series 2.

I'm James Dyer and welcome to the Pilot TV podcast,

a show that I returned to after a week of holiday,

only to find that Boyd had taken over, changed the locks,

thrown out the expanse screeners, and rededicated the show to all things bake-off.

In fact, as I sit here in my apron with an elaborate gatto in front of me on the studio table,

and a soufflet gently rising in the oven to my left.

I can't help but wondering whether this could be a bold new era for the pilot TV

podcast. How was it Boyd? It was good. I'm not sure if you actually mentioned

Bake-off at all did I did we?

That's all the blur. I like to think you did. I did I mean I did listen to it in fact I have to say I

really really enjoyed it. I know I did I thought was great I'm like just retire so then I can just listen to this enjoy it but only if

Rufus is on every week because he was phenomenal I'm very sorry I missed it it seemed

like you had loads of fun. We did, yeah.

I could listen to him read out a phone book as well.

He has the best voice doesn't he?

It's really like syrupy and like soothing.

Yet commanding.
