Summary

Sheri Dewan, MD is a full-time, board-certified neurosurgeon practicing in the metro Chicago area, affiliated with Northwestern Medicine. She is one of roughly two hundred board-certified women neurosurgeons in the United States. She completed her neurosurgery residency at Brown University and her graduate degree at Northwestern University. She is a proud board member of Women in Neurosurgery (WINS), the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Dewan donates her time performing charity surgery in Southern India and sits on multiple charity foundation boards. She is also currently studying business and finance at the University of Oxford Executive Education program in London, England. Dr. Dewan is trilingual and has lived in five countries. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and spending time with her husband and three children. 0:52.4	to step forth even when the world says, hey, you know what, your doctor, stay your lane,
0:58.8	this is not your lane, you're not allowed to be in that space. And that is not okay anymore in
1:05.5	where we are in our evolution. And it's important for women, especially her, also being Indian,
1:11.1	to come forth and to step outside of that line and still own her her space, but also bring
1:17.6	information to the world that is both supportive and enriching. And I'm just very happy to have

1:29.2	I'm well, thank you so much for having me here. It's such a pleasure to sit down with you. And
1:33.7	I equally am absolutely fascinated by you and your path and what you do. And so I've adopted a
1:40.0	lot of spirituality in my own life and my own practice. And you know, would love to discuss that
