apparently a brief long period of time since the last episode. Maybe like three or four weeks at least. I don't know. I have been knee deep in wrapping up the Greatest Peak

series. The final player profile in that series will run a couple days after this podcast airs so the plan is to start to

podcast a little bit more regularly and ramp up on more topical current stuff

during the season.

Today's show is actually something a little different.

I was fortunate to be able to speak with Evan Wash from the NBA at the Ideas Analytics

conference last week. And so for today's episode we are going to listen to

that conversation.

It runs about 45 minutes, and we got into some really interesting areas

that he oversees.

We'll talk about game state, likeling and replay issues and the flow of the game and how fans

respond to those things.

You know, a lot of insight into sort of thinking about the product in general the length of the season and in season tournaments and

like tell everyone a little bit about what your role is right now with the league how long you've been there and sort of the team that you oversee.

Sure, so I've been with the league about 10 years actually, which seems to have flown by, and I head up a department called basketball strategy and technology as it relates to the on-court product so that the NBA game of basketball.
