Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Truth Seekers podcast. A Truth

Seeker is someone who wants to know the truth. They search for what's

true and they won't rest until they find it. I am a truth seeker and if you are

too then you've come to the right place where we will search for truth each week in the stories of the Bible.

We've been following the life of King David.

David was king over Israel for many years and for many years he served the Lord.

The Bible called David a man after God's own heart.

What does it mean to be a man after God's own heart? Well, it means that you want what

God wants. It means you don't put yourself first. You put God first in all you do. It means you acknowledge God. Can you say

acknowledge? To acknowledge someone means to recognize that they are there, to see them, and to talk to them.

It is the opposite of to ignore someone.

Have you ever been in a room full of people but felt like nobody saw you?

Have you ever felt ignored?

Have you ever ignored someone?

If you ignore someone it means you don't talk to them or even look at them.

God does not want us to ignore him. He wants us to acknowledge him.

He wants us to talk to him and spend time with him and recognize

that he is right there with us. That is acknowledging him. We acknowledge God by praying to him and reading his word to us and

spending time with him. David acknowledged God and that is why he is known as a man after God's own heart.
