So former Atlanta police officer, Garrett Roof, charged with felony murder in a fatal shooting

of Richard Brooks, the district attorney announces.

This means he could face the death penalty and at this point I seriously have no faith

in the justice system.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says it was blindsided by Fulton County's district

attorney Paul Howard and unaware of the plan to file charges against the officers involved

in the Richard Brooks case while the agency was still conducting investigation.

The agency was still investigating and even before any investigation was complete the

DA filed charges against the officer which is that's not that I'm assuming that's not

how you operate if there's an issue right now.

So this is the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has requested by the Atlanta police department

on Friday night June 12 to investigate an officer involved in the shooting at the Wendy's

restaurant on University Avenue.

We are in the process of conducting this investigation although we have made significant

process in the case.
