Sarah Hall is from the UK and is one of the more decorated and celebrated authors working in the English language.

Three short story collections.

She is a recipient of the American Academy of Arts and Letters E.M. Forster Award.

She has won the Edge Hill Short Story Prize, among others.

And she is the only person ever to win the BBC National Short Story Award twice.

Two of her books have been nominated for the Man Booker Prize.

Her second novel, The Electric Michelangelo,

and her fourth novel, How to Paint a Dead Man.

Her work has been translated into more than 15 languages.

She is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature,

and she also does some journalism work.
