It's our Thanksgiving episode because here in the United States, in November, we celebrate a

thing called Thanksgiving, which can mean whatever you wanted to mean. It can mean some interesting

stories about the early settlers or it could just be a real nice holiday where family gets together

and has a big meal or friends or whatever. And it's heart heartwarming and that's one of the reasons that

I like Thanksgiving is that it's just kind of a nice time to appreciate what you got and the

people around you and and maybe there's a turkey if you want I say all of this because we are

going to be talking about one of the quintessential Thanksgiving movies,

a John Hughes film starring Steve Martin and John Candy.

And with many surprising faces in other roles.

I, when I went off to college, I actually like copied a bunch of stuff onto, you know,

basically made a bunch of VHS tapes at the, at the low quality speed of movies.

So I thought like if I'm really feeling down or I'm bored or whatever, I think I had like nine movies

on three tapes that I could watch. And one of them was planes, trains, and automobiles. And I

saw it. I watched it a lot in the late 80s and I have not seen it since. So we saw it for this.
