Kat is a senior editor at Swoon Reads, which is an imprint of McMillan, and she's

So I thought in honor of National Novel Writing Month, it'd be fun to bring her on the

show this year to talk about the behind-the-scenes activities at a publishing house, like the

different types of editing that can happen, and how ready a book really needs to be to

be acquired.
