I was on this podcast before it was cool.

That's right. That was like the beginning.

That was like right at the beginning, I think. And back then this new book of yours was a humble blog post.

I feel like I remember we were walking around Lower Manhattan and you were sort of like telling us oh man I think I'm going to start

writing about something that I'm feeling really nervous about.

Okay yeah and since then lots of plans changed and it became a book and then I had to finish the book.

I have not figured out how to do the elevator pitch but it basically is me spending six years thinking

about what's wrong with my society and why societies go wrong and what specifically is happening here and what we need to do to not have it happen and then trying to figure out what the big story is there and write it as one big story with one big framework.
