Playing under different rules in that era, he built a career off massive hits.

Hamlin found success at Arkansas at safety,

where he left as the school's all-time leading tackler

and was beloved by fans.

When you get an interception, they don't say,

but when you had that big hit, man, did you see that hit when you had to do flipping with the,

it just, to me it's just more exciting.

After leaving Arkansas for the NFL after his junior season,

Hamlin became a second round pick of the Seattle Seahawks

and would go on to make the 2007 Pro Bowl.
