I'm sure hope you've been encouraged by our study through the Gospel of John. I hope you are increasingly convinced that you're

never ever alone. Never ever alone. If you've got a few moments my Bible is open now to John chapter 21, John

chapter 21 and I'd like to remind you that no matter what you're going through today and no matter how far

you might have wandered away from God, his arms are still wide open to you to receive you in your homecoming. I want to take a look at

Peter's homecoming as found in John chapter 21. John's Gospel tells us that

Peter and his followers traveled the 80 miles north to the sea of

Galilee after the resurrection. The fishermen of men went fishing for fish again. And according to the scripture that night they caught nothing. They caught nothing. All night no fish. Now these weren't amateurs. They grew up on this lake. They knew the Sea of Galilee like a back of their hands. They were casting nets before they had pimples. How is it that they could spend all night on the sea and catch Nary Ameno.

The scripture says, but when the morning had now come,

Jesus stood on the shore, yet the disciples did not know that it was

Jesus. They did not know. To them this man was a stranger, and then Jesus said to them children have you any food

And they answered and said no and he said to them cast the net on the right side of the boat,

and you will find some.
