Can we talk about something else?

Hellooo...

Out there.

I've always avoided cold cases, thinking there wouldn't be enough story to tell without

a heavy dose of what the perpetrator was all about, and in a cold case, that part, along

with an arrest and some form of closure, is missing.

But you know what else is missing?

In general, when it comes to true crime, at times, for me at least, and maybe you feel

this way too, what's missing is any redeeming quality and dredging up the horrors of the

past.

It can get a little... how you say... gross... explitative.

And it's not that I'm shy to dance to the devil, it's just I prefer to do it without

his hands gripping my butt cheeks, stuffing his forked tongue down my throat and spinning

it so as to peer-wet me through each episode.

Researching, writing, speaking, murder can get a little dizzying.

It's easy to forget that this is real life when pouring through crime stories for a so-called

good one to use on the next episode.

And it takes a little more than making your voice quiver on a podcast or covering your

mouth and mock horror for your YouTube thumbnail with your fucking hat on backwards to keep

things kosher, shed at the juice.

I'm not... and you know, I got to thinking that there are so many cold cases out there

...
