This week, Paul reminds us that every word of scripture is God-breathed and deeply profitable,

even a seemingly long and outdated Old Testament census.

Here's this week's Wednesday's work.

This is one of my favorite verses in all of Scripture, because it perfectly describes the gift that Scripture is.

Quote, all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof,

for correction, and for training and righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,

equipped for every good work, end quote, 2 Timothy 3, 16 and 17.

And another verse just like it, quote, for the word of God is living inactive,

sharper than any two-edged sword,

piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints, and of marrow,

and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart, end quote.

Hebrews 412.
