Marlowe Grinados is a writer and a filmmaker and a host or a co-host of a podcast called The Mean Reds.

It's dedicated to women-led films. She also writes an advice column for the

baffler called Designs for Living. It's possible that you've heard of Happy Hour, her debut,

which has been generating a lot of buzz. There was a big profile of her in New York Magazine.

And I was delighted to meet her and talk with her.

And very charmed by this book.
