Okay, so full disclosure, I'm the editor on Carla Lolley Music's next cookbook.

And while I've been working on it, I got just a little obsessed with the chapter on

grilling.

I mean, in part because the food look great, the recipes are terrific.

But really, there's this photo of her.

And she's standing in the backyard of her house.

She's got this gorgeous wood-burning oven and a grill going.

And there's an adorable kid with a calender on her head, like running around.

And it just looks like a life I want to live.

And with that kind of setup, Carla obviously knows what she's doing.

So we figured we'd ask her to talk summertime cooking with us.

I, you know, I have not been to your backyard.

I'm not fishing for an invitation, but I have seen the photos.

And I am extremely jealous of not just your backyard and the big wood oven and the grill

you have back there, but just like the lifestyle.
