Summary

REVING the Word is a coached Christian workout that's perfect for a run, walk, interval training, or anytime you move your body. We have a brand new REVING the Word today coached by Danielle Maxon, one of our incredible educators here at Revelation Wellness.

Danielle is coaching us through an endurance workout today where she is teaching on intentional intimacy and shares why God is all about being in connection and relationship with us. Today, she unpacks Isaiah 41:13.

You can connect with Danielle at @danimaxon.

You can also watch Wes Scheu, one of our lead instructors, share how getting outside and meeting God on the trail is about so much more than fitness (click here to listen RevWild Adventure Hikes).

If f this sounds like something that you too want to experience, then we'd love for you to join us for our 2023 Rim to Him or on one of our RevWildAdventure Hikes. Whether you're ready to hike the Grand Canyon with our trained shepherds or hiking with us on a more moderate trail in one of our RevWild Adventure Hikes is more your speed, we love leading people closer to God through the outdoors. We would love to guide you through one in 2023!

We love our Rev community and think you will too! Be sure to get connected with us at:

Your reviews matter to us and help spread the good news, so please leave us one where you listen to your podcast! If we read your review on our show, we'll send you a free gift from the Revelation Wellness Store!

When it comes to the way that these hikes have impacted me personally in my

family, in my marriage, in my relationships with other people, I think being

0:13.6

out in creation and giving myself space and time really being forced to, you

0:18.4

know, I wouldn't probably be training the way I am or out in your nature the way

0:23.2

I am without the motivation of knowing that I'm doing a hike. It gives me

0:28.7

space to process things, process my own thoughts, feelings, so that I am able to

0:37.1

come back to my family having thought through difficult things. When it comes to

0:42.7

training, I get to do these often with my wife. We've done a lot of training

0:47.1

together for these hikes and gives us time and space on the trail to have

0:51.8

conversations without the little ones around and in a way that, you know, we're

0:59.0

not sitting across a table from each other and some of that is there's that

1:03.2

awkwardness of the face to face and when you're moving side by side, you can

1:08.6

have conversations and feel like you're able to be even a little bit more vulnerable

1:12.9

in the ways that you communicate. You can talk about difficult things a little

1:20.2

more easily when you're moving. Oddly enough, there's this this freedom in the

1:26.0

ability to speak about things that really matter when you're moving your body. I

1:32.0

know that I'm also a better father and husband having moved my body and on some

1:40.8

level, putting forth effort and doing something hard and difficult and

1:46.9

working out my thoughts and feelings in order to come home to my family and my

1:53.4

friends, my church community to offer myself to them having worked through

1:59.2

difficult things out on the trail. Hey, hey, Revelation Wellness friends, you just
