And I'm very pleased that my guest is Kate Durbin.

She has a new poetry collection out on Wave Books. It is called Hoarders.

And it is about the show Horders, which you may be familiar with from cable television. It's kind of an American institution at this point,

is it not? And Kate Durbin is such a fascinating artist. And I use the word artist to describe her because she's a hyphenate.

And I feel like she's one of our more iconoclastic thinkers, cultural observers, poets, writers.

I've talked with her once before on this show a few years ago.

And, you know, I was moved by hoarders and deeply fascinated with it

for a variety of reasons. We had a really interesting talk.

Because, you know, you describe the book as a book of poetry based on the show hoarders, and you try to process what that's going to mean.

And it turns out that in the hands of Kate Durbin, it means quite a lot.
