All right, here we are another episode of Let There Be Talk. The date is January 22nd. It is a Monday and we have some fire here today.

My guest who I've been chasing to get on the show for I don't know maybe

10 11 years is Mr. Steve Vai and I cannot even tell you how much I love Steve Vai and I do feel as much accolades and glory that he gets.

I still feel that he is very underrated, mostly in the songwriting platform.

And if you don't know what I'm talking about,

you're going to want to go back and look at the songwriting credits for Dave Lee Ross, Edim and Smile, and the skyscraper

record.

And of course, all his solo stuff, but I'm talking about actual, full-on, all those

all of this stuff, but I'm talking about actual, full on rock and roll songwriting.

This guy and the guys in the Edelman's Smile Band have done something that is super rare.

And I talked to Steve I about it on the show.

Him, Billy Sheehan, and Greg Bissonette, basically, they were not a band, they had not played together,

and they got in a room and created some of the greatest rock songs of the 80s and the only other group of people that I think

have ever done that that hadn't played together were thrown together,

was the Ozzy Blizzard of Oz and Diary of the Madman era,

with Randy and those guys just being thrown in a room

and going, hey, let's write a rock record or a metal record.

Anyway, long-winded intro, but holy shit is this guy badass.
