There is something truly sinister in the woods of Maryland, written by Bailey Swinson.

witches or any of that nonsense.

But if none of those things are real, then,

what drove us out of a house that me and my girlfriend were happy in?

If there's no such thing as malevolent, unseen horrors, then what did I see in those woods that I now know have been abandoned by God and all that is holy?

My girlfriend and I had just graduated college, and we had to face the Herculean task of looking for a place to live, with a ton of student debt and no job.

My parents weren't really around to give us any shelter, and I would rather be homeless, then live with

my girlfriend's mother and her whipped dog of a father.

After a long time of looking, we finally find a place somewhere back in the mountains of Maryland,

a small humble abode by the roadside, with neighbors separated

by thin strands of woodland and a furniture store that we could both get a job at right

down the street.

And also, there was a solar power farm right down the road as well.

In short, it was the almost ideal home,

except for the fact that the landlord was a dying, greedy old man

who practically spoke in snarls and murmurs.
