Hello and welcome back to Mac Power Users my name is Stephen Hackett. I'm joined by my friend and yours Mr David Sparks. Hello Stephen, how are you today? I am good, like many people in the United States have

unexpected snow and low temperatures, but you know kids are out of school, we've

built some snowmen in the yard. it's been a fun week.

Are you like kind of secretly looking forward to getting your, like your cold weather gear, your

battery backups, you know, getting all that going?

I mean, I've got, I've got a lot of that stuff.

You know, we went sledding yesterday, so I got to bust out a bunch of really what's hunting gear,

but that's the best way to have cold weather gear at least when you live in the

south I guess but yes I did make sure one thing I did do was make sure that my I have like a

a jump start kit for like a car battery and it's just basically it's a big lithium ion battery that dumps all of its power once a jump start a car.

It's way more convenient than jumper cables and you know cold weather will kill batteries and so I did make sure that baby was fully charged in case, you know, I didn't expect an issue in my car, it's new, but you know my wife's van or a neighbor or something. So it is sitting like in the

laundry room ready to go. So far it has not been pressed into service but we

still got a lot of cold weather to go.

Yeah, I was reading how in this big cold spell we've got.

Some of the electric cars on the East Coast are just getting fried by the cold

weather and that's not good.

No, that's not what you want at all.

Yeah, yeah.

Either way, well things here if it makes you feel better, You know, we're down in the 60s today.

Oh, man.

I've got a sweater on, you know.
