Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host Sean Crox and the

Sean Crox and dot com. Thanks so much for tuning into our finance Friday

episode where we talk about all things money mindset. We've got Zigg Ziggler

back on the show and this one isn't directly about money mindset but it's

something I teach my money mind academy students every semester we talk

about the water pump and I'm not going to give away the whole analogy because Zigg

is about to give it to you in a second but if you're not getting anything out of

life you got to think about what you are putting in because if you're not

putting in you're not going to get anything out and that's just the way it

works here's Zigg. I got a couple of good friends here many many years ago

we're riding around in the South Alabama foothills it was a hot August day and

they got thirsty Bernard Heygood was driving Jimmy Glenn was the passenger

they pulled behind this old abandoned farmhouse and Bernard hopped out he ran

over and there was an old pump on the well and he grabbed a handle and he started

to pump how many of you ever used one of these old fashioned water pumps can I

say your hand please okay well he had just a pump in a way you know it after about

three or four minutes he said give him better get that old bucket over there and

lift some water out of the creek we're gonna have to prime the pump how many of

you knew what I'm talking about when I say you got to prime the pump well for

you underprivileged non-puppers that just means you got to put something in here
