All right, everybody. How are you out there? What's going on? This is the Other People program. I'm Brad Listy in Los Angeles. Thank you for tuning in. I certainly appreciate that. I am delighted to have Lee Stein back on the program.

She has a new poetry collection out on Soft Skull.

celebrating the publication of her critically acclaimed satirical novel, Self-Care.

work is very contemporary. It's rooted in popular culture. And in particular, it is concerned

with our digital lives and what the internet is doing to us at the level of identity, at the level

of relationships, at the level of politics. And she wrote

this new poetry collection, What to Miss When, during the coronavirus pandemic. She was in quarantine.

She was sober. She didn't drink for a hundred days. You're going to hear us talk about that.

And she was writing poetry for the first time in a long time,

which was related to the fact that she was not drinking.

And I think it was too related to the fact that we were all in quarantine
