Mr Stephen Hackett. Hi Stephen. Hey David how are you? Good I I really like the state of the platform shows.

We started this when you join the Mac Power Users.

And every year we kind of go through an audit how Apple's doing on the various

platforms and hardware and software and I have thoughts throughout the year about this

but we like to save them for this episode and today I get to get all that off my chest.

Yeah, that's right.

It is a fun episode.

I think it's good sometimes to sort of sit back

and kind of see where things are, right?

A lot of these platforms we're talking about are so. things are

so interwoven with each other that it's important to kind of take the

broader landscape view sometimes.

I mean when you think back to the old days of Apple and they made Max right?

Yeah.

It was so easy and some, you know, I know, I mean, that's a relative term, but I mean, they didn't have to have everything tied to each other, they didn't have to have an

eye cloud to hold it all together. You know, it was really simple like when Steve talked about

the MAC as the source of truth,

that's a lot easier than what they're dealing with these days.

But in exchange, now they're a trillion dollar company.

So I guess that kind of comes with the territory.

I think I think Tim Cook is fine with that trade-off being what it is.
