come in streaks, and we are midway through a streak of porch renovations. This one happens to be

in a historic, in quotes, historic neighborhood.

The type of historic neighborhood this is in reminds me of what Matt Milhelm used to say about historic preservation

and some of the mandated city historic regulations that they are like carrying

dead people's baggage. There's nothing historic about any of these buildings, but they're

in a district. So we have to put it back exactly as it was. And this particular porch had some pretty interesting elements to it that we recreated in our shop.
