Yo, today's QOTS, you can be distracted or you can get epic work done.

You can't do both. Here we go.

Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host, Sean Crox and a shot Crox and

calm. We've got one of my favorite speakers, Robin Sharma on the show today.

And today, Robin is talking about the difference between being distracted and actually getting

work done. And no, I'm not about to go on one of my rants about how we waste so much

of our lives on social media. Not going to do it because I know I have the tendency to do that.

But we need to have an awareness of the difference between talking about it and actually doing it.

Because a lot of us just talk about it without ever doing it. We're getting ready to do it, but we never do it.

Or we're doing something I can actually get into a tendency of doing reading more.

I got to read this next book and I got to read this next book before you actually do it.

And we do that to ourselves a lot. I'm not ready until I read this next book and then you read that next book.

And you're like, oh my god, they mentioned another book in there. And I'm going to read that one first.

And it just keeps going and going and going and going. People who get stuff done, they can be researchers, but at the same time,

they're mainly creators. They're spending more time creating than they're spending time researching.

And a lot of us have that flipped upside down. So we got to get into creative mode.

We got to start getting stuff done instead of researching forever and ever and being distracted. Here's Robin.

But my dad shared another quote when I was growing up. And he comes from Rebindra nod to gore.

And he translated it from Sanskrit into English and he posted it on our refrigerator door.

So my brother and I could read it every morning before he went off to school.

And I'd love to share it with you because it simply said, spring has passed.

Summer has gone and winter is here.
