You know, it was low commitment. I mean, as you know, as a podcaster who does movie podcasts yourself, you know,

one of the, one of the big hesitations of asking people to be on a podcast is, you know,

giving them homework, making them watch movies, especially if it's a bad movie. So I don't

know how you handle it. When you ask someone on the podcast, do you really tailor it around

them to just let them pick whatever, or do you pick something you know that you don't have to work too hard at? For the most part, yes, for the most part, almost every time we're asking people to choose and choose freely. And if not, we're usually inspired by like kind of what you did. We saw they watched something recently and they're like, hey, you recently like five-starred this and said it's like your favorite movie ever. Would you want to talk about that and like pick another film to go with it? So it hopefully it doesn't feel like homework to them. But anytime we ask like a filmmaker to do it, that's where we're always a little bit more like, ooh, how are they going to, you know, they're a little bit busier and, you know, sometimes we're tying it into

their movie, but we're not really talking about their movie. And some of the filmmakers have

really liked that and some of them have been a little bit more like, I think, I think they

were like, ooh, I committed to a little bit more than I thought I committed to. Well, I won't

ask you to name names, but I'll let that celebrity gossip flow out of you freely

whenever you want.

Yeah.

Honestly, we've only ever had one really horrific recording session.

And we edited it so that it's not super noticeable, except for the fact that the guest slowly

disappears as the episode goes on.

I mean, in fairness, your recording sessions do tend to be a little long. You go in depth on the movies.

You're not superficial like I am. You like to really consider the movies.

We're also very upfront about that at this point. We're always like, do you have a hard out? If we hit this mark, do you want us to just shut the fuck up? Like, you know, we kind of pose that up front. Because some of them, you know, we've had some filmmakers on recently who like, you know, we had the guy on who directed Lurker and he was dressed up and ready to go to an event. And we were like, oh fuck fuck. Did we fuck up the time? Like, do you need to get out of here? And literally, we couldn't get him to leave. We were like, dude, shut up and go to your party. Like, go to your, you know, he got invited to like the eyes wide shut New York filmmakers party. And he wanted to keep talking about Clint Eastwood.. We were like, okay, just go, please.
