Mac Power users episode 710, Apple's Wonder Lust event.

Hello and welcome back to Mac Power users. My name is Steven Hackett.

I'm joined by my friend and yours, Mr. David Sparks.

Steven Hackett, you've got a bedroom voice today. Why is that?

I do. I'm recording in a hotel room in Cupertino. So my apologies to Jim and the audience,

doesn't sound quite up to our normal standards. I will say in setting up, I realized I didn't pack

a mic stand. So I'm just holding my microphone and hoping that goes that goes well.

But I did unplug the air conditioner in my room because I couldn't get it to turn off.

And I was like, I know how I can get you to turn off. How does the unplug it? So I'm doing it for

you, you know? Well, it does have that sound like like you're talking next to a pillow or something.

It's very, very, yeah. But that's not the story. The story is you were in the Steve Jobs

theater a couple hours ago, sitting in those plush seats that we read about in the Johnny I book,

taking it all in. So just before we get into the news, tell us about the experience a little bit.

Yeah, it was fantastic. I got invited a couple of weeks ago and flew out here in the middle of

our St. Jude campaign, which we're going to talk about in a second. But it was really great.

You know, I've been to a bunch of WWC's both as just a person and as press and really different

vibe for an iPhone event. The media crowd is very different. I recognized far fewer people than I

do at WWC. But it was a lot of fun. And yeah, you know, Tim Cook came out on stage and we watched

the same video you did at home. But then we got hands-on time. So I've I have played with and

touched all the new phones and the new watches. So I've got initial thoughts on all that to share

as we go. Excellent, excellent. It was just really neat to be a part of it. Really glad that

that Apple reached out and that I could I could make it work. Yeah, yeah. And so we're going to hear
