This is Nancy Wilson, and thanks so much for joining me today.

Today, the topic is trouble.

And what is trouble?

Well, trouble is just any number of different kinds of difficulties or hardships.

And I'm pretty sure I don't need to define it because we all know what trouble is.

And the Bible has plenty to say about trouble.

And what we should do when we encounter it.

And I don't think I know anyone really.

I can't think of anyone who doesn't have trouble of some kind.

It certainly is not an unusual event in this life to have a trouble or have many troubles.

But the thing we must realize in the midst of trouble is that we have a savior and we must call on him.

But we must also, at the same time, recognize our countless mercies as well.

If your child is sick, that is a trouble.

But the fact that you have a child is a tremendous mercy, a great mercy.

So if we make a list of all our troubles and then make a list of all of our mercies,

you and I both know which list will be much, much longer.

And that is a helpful thing to do to keep our perspective on our troubles.

And if we try to list our mercies, there's no way we can get to the end of them

though we can probably list all of our troubles pretty easily.
