Above the throng, the skyline is dominated by the towering edifices of Karnak Temple.

Huge sandstone pylons, towering obelisks, and formidable walls enclosing sanctuaries that have stood for decades, even centuries.

It is a formidable scene. The city seems to sleep under the gaze of these monuments.

We stand before a particularly impressive edifice, a huge rectangular temple of sandstone.
